POULTNEY - Lawrence E. "Larry" Case, 76, died Nov. 7, 2010, at his home.

He was born in Newton, Mass., the son of Ralph B. and Esther C. (Draper) Case, and was raised in Boxford, Mass.

He graduated from Duke University in 1955.

Upon graduation, Mr. Case worked in New York City for five years. In Vermont, he was employed by Montgomery Ward, Central Vermont Public Service and Warren Baker Real Estate.

He was an avid reader and enjoyed music.

Survivors include a brother, Bradley Case of Florida, and a niece.

He was predeceased by a brother, Richard Case.

At his request, there will be no calling hours.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Durfee Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fair Haven.
