Elmo Barrington Edwards passed away November 9, 2010 after a valiant fight with Alzheimers. He was born on June 8, 1931, in Cambridge, Idaho to Herbert Jacob and Leona Barrington Edwards. He married Barbara Mecham on January 15, 1953, and they were blessed with three children. She passed away July 3, 2002. On February 4, 2006, he married Mary Ann Woodard Bodily. He retired from HAFB after 30 years as an aircraft and camera repairman, and sold for Nationwide Advertising since 1959. He donated 99 pints of blood in his lifetime. Elmo enjoyed woodworking, whittling, camping, the outdoors, spending time with his family, he loved Star Valley, WY and felt it was his home. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ann; daughters, Kathy Gunn and Shirley (Gene) Bailey; son, Brian (Barb) Edwards; three grandchildren, Jessie Edwards, Jace Edwards, and Annie Gunn; sisters, LaRue Wilmot, Velma Edwards, Evva Lee (Ben) Young; brother, Herb (Penny) Edwards; sister in law, Dawn Edwards. Stepchildren, Sherlene (Larry) Perkins, Verlina Mayer, Jolene (Mark) Marusa, Dean (Diane) Bodily, Kelly Bodily; 11 step grandchildren and six step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara; his parents; and brother, Galin. The family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Park Care Center and Hearts for Hospice for their love and support. He was loved by many friends and family and will be greatly missed. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 13, 2010 at 12 noon at the Kaysville 2nd Ward (Rock) Chapel, 25 South 200 East. Family and friends may gather Friday evening at Myers Mortuary, 250 North Fairfield Road, Layton, UT from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday at the church from 10:30 11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be at Kaysville City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.myers-mortuary.com
