MRS HERBERT STOVER

Mrs. Herbert E Stover of Livonia, wife of the novelist and historian, Herbert E. Stover, died Saturday at 9:00am at the home of a daughter Miss Marjorie Stover in Williamsport. She had undergone surgery in April.

A daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Warren E Kyler, Mrs. Stover was born in Lock Haven 62 years ago. After living many years in Lewisburg, where her husband was principal of the high school, the couple moved five years ago to Livonia to make their home.

Mr. Stover is the author of six historical novels, the latest being "By Night the Strangers" published last October.

Survivors including her husband and daughter are another daughter Mrs. Edward McFate of Williamsville NY, two grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Herbert F Stevenson of Needham Mass, and Mrs. Venita Higgins of Clearfield.

Funeral services were held this morning at the Morris Funeral Home in Loganton with Rev. Edward L Junkin of Mill Hall and Rev. Theodore Lindquist of Loganton officiating. Interment will be made in the Dunnstown Cemetery in Lock Haven.
