Born in Washington, D.C., she lived in the Springfield area for many years. She was a member of Old First Church in Court Square.
Her husband, Louis Martyny, died in 1973.
She leaves a sister, M. Katherine Turton of Agawam and formerly of Springfield, and a niece, Madeleine Martin of Washington, D.C.
The funeral at Dickinson-Streeter Funeral Home, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, both in Springfield.
