Carol Manes, 46, of Amherst, passed away Tuesday, November, 9, 2010, surrounded by her family at Mercy Regional Medical Cen­ter in Lorain, from the effects of Cerebral Pal­sy. Carol was born January 30, 1964 in Amherst, where she had been a lifetime resident.

Carol's tender spirit and quiet presence will be missed greatly by her loving parents, Orville and Lois Manes. Carol was born with Cere­bral Palsy and had been cared for by her parents, who were honored to spend this time with their daughter as they laughed and cried over many special moments. Carol loved listening to all kinds of music and traveling with her family on vacation.

Survivors include her parents, Orville J. and Lois C. Manes (nee Beesing) of Am­herst and her sister and hus­band, Kay and Danny Trine­meyer of Amherst.

She was preceded in death by by her brother, Jay Paul Manes on July 8, 1999; her maternal grandparents, Leonard and Mary Beesing and her paternal grand­parents, Grayson J. and Hazel Manes.

Friends may call Wednesday, November 10, 2010, from 6 to 8 P.M., at the Hempel Funeral Home, 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 11, 2010, at 11 A.M., from St. Paul Lutheran Church, 115 Central Dr., Amherst. The Reverend Terrance Adamson, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Brownhelm Cemetery, Brown­helm Township.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 115 Central Dr., Am­herst, OH 44001 or the Lucy Idol Center, 435 Nicholson Ave., Vermilion, OH 44089.
