South Hadley Man Dies
Private Harry L. Williams of South Hadley, in Co. H. 302d infantry, 76th division, died from lobar pneumonia in France, according to a telegram received Sunday from the war department by his parents, who live on Ferry Street, South Hadley. He was drafted by the third district board in Lee, April 27, 1918, and sent to Camp Levens, and sailed overseas in the following July. After his arrival he was transferred to the military police. In a letter dated December 23 he stated he was in good health. He was born in Ashfield September 7, 1892. (Springfield Republican (MA) 1919-01-28, p.: 3)
