LOVE-At his home in Clinton twp. Friday, Feb. 27, 1891, William Love, in his 88th year.

He was born in Germantown, Pa., in 1803, and was brought to this county by his parents who settled on what is now the Harvey farm in 1805, and has lived in that vicinity all his life.

He was married to Mary, daughter of Robert Thompson, both now dec'd, and was the father of fourteen children, twelve of whom are yet living. Their names are Jas. H., of Butler, Newton and George, of Pittsburg, Thompson, of Tarentum, Rob't, of Gibsonia, Wm. and Samuel who live on the old homestead, Martha Loesch, of Ford City, Nancy Peacock, of Allegheny city, Anna Thompson, of Kansas, and Miss Elizabeth who is living in Butler. They were all at the funeral excepting Mrs. Thompson of Kansas. Besides these at the time of his death he had 69 grand-children and 25 great-grandchildren living. He was a remarkable man physically, and was active and hearty up until a few weeks of his death. He was an honest, upright, temperate man and was highly respected by his neighbors.
