Memorial services for David Stewart Beavers, 66, of Eufaula will be Friday, Nov. 20, at 10 a.m. at Chapman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Glenn Brock officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service.
He died Nov. 17 in Columbus. He was born Aug. 22, 1943, in Lawrence, Kansas, to the late Mary Jeraldine and Clair Layton Beavers.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving aboard the USS Saratoga from 1962-66. He was employed with Container Corp. of America in Fernandina Beach, Fla. before moving to Eufaula where he retired from MeadWestvaco in June 2006 after 30 years of service.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother Timonty Seldon Beavers.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Gloria Nettles Beavers; son Timothy Stewart Beavers and his wife, Paula, of Waynesville, Ohio; grandchildren Kyle (Ashley) Back, Brandon Back, Alexis Messick and Travis and Daniel Beavers; his son John Seldon Beavers and his wife, Amber, of Eufaula and grandchildren Logan and Lindsey Beavers and Hudson Back.
The family will accept flowers or donations to Parkview Baptist Church in Eufaula.
