Funeral services for Mrs. James Scheetz, known for her lovable character and her many deeds of kindness, will be held at the St. Charles Church in South Charleston at 9 a.m. Thurdsay, with burial in the South Charleston cemetery.
Mrs. Scheetz, wife of James (Harry) Scheetz, died at 9:30 p.m. Monday in her home at South Charleston and her death is regretted by hosts of friends in her home town and surrounding places.
The body was taken to the Sprague funderal home in South Charleston to be returned to the residence at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
She was a native of Chillicothe, but had resided in this community for the past 46 years. She was a member of the St. Charles Bopromeo Church and of the Altar Society and the Catholic Ladies of Columbia.
She is survived by her husband, an employee of the Clark County Highway Department; four children, Mrs. Paul J. Sheehan and Joseph H. Scheetz, both of Springfield, Dr. George F. Scheetz Camp Barkeley, Tex., and Frederick P. Scheetz at home; four sisters, Edna and Bess Barmann, both of South Charleston; Mrs. E. J. Brown, Chillicothe, and Mrs. F.S. Harrison, Columbus-Junction, Ia.; three brothers, Floyd and H. C. Barmann, both of South Charleston, and Walter Barmann of Chillicothe, Seven grandchildren also survive.
