Resident of Township all Her Life; Leaves 3 Sons, 12 Grandchildren
The funeral of Mrs. Louise Busse, widow of L. C. Busse, and mother of Fred Busse, was held on Saturday, March 24, at the St. Paul's Lutheran church at 2:00 p.m. A large group of relatives and friends filled the church and overflowed into the school auditorium, where a loud speaker brought the services from the church.
The sermon was delivered by Pastor J. E. A. Mueller, of St. Paul's church, of which Mrs. Busse had been a member. The sermon text was 1 Peter, 2-9 and Matthew 10, 29-32. The Ladies' Aid of the church sang the beautiful hymn, "Whate'er My God Ordains Is Right." A profusion of floral pieces gave evidence of the love and respect for the deceased. Burial took place at the Mt. Prospect cemetery.
Louise Busse, nee Meier, was born on June 12, 1869, in Elk Grove township, Cook county, Illinois. On July 4 of the same year she was baptized in the name of The Triune God by Pastor Dorn. On April 2, 1882, she was confirmed by Pastor Ramelow at St. John's of Elk Grove. There, too, she was united in marriage to Louis C. Busse on June 7, 1888.
She lived with her husband on a farm in Elk Grove until their removal to Mt. Prospect. Three children were born of their union: Alfred, Arthur and Fred.
On Nov. 10, 1929, she suffered the loss of her husband. Last Wednesday, March 21, 1934, unexpectedly the Lord, in whom she believed and upon whom she relied, called her without a long illness from her earthly toil and pilgrimage to His Fatherhouse in heaven. She reached the age of 64 years, 9 months, and 9 days, leaving to mourn, 3 sons, 3 daughters-in-law, 12 grandchildren, 1 sister, 2 brothers, 7 sisters-in-law, 5 brothers-in-law and other relatives.
All her life she was a member of the Lutheran church in Elk Grove and Mt. Prospect. She was also a member of the Ladies' Aid.
