Anna Marie Catherine LaChance, 87, of Fort Smith, died November 9, 2010 in Fort Smith.

She was retired from St Edward Mercy Medical Center as the Manager of the Credit Union. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Daughters of the American Revolution, Colonial Dames XVII Century, Belle Point Sam's of Goodsam, AR, Arkie-Okie Ridgerunners of NCHA, Rice Family Association 1638, Wyckoff Family Association, Bigelow Family Association, Doty Family Association of Mayflower, and the American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by one son, Larry LaChance of Cedarville, AR; sister-in-law, Beverly Werntz of Shreveport, LA; one brother, Frank David Werntz of Muskogee, OK; three grandchildren, Sydni and Logan LaChance, and Spencer Bradley; and two great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence A. LaChance and brother, Leon Wernta, Jr.

Funeral service was Friday, November 12, 2010 at 1:00 PM in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the U.S. National Cemetery all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
