Stanley L. Widman, 84, formerly of Hiawatha, KS passed away on November 6, 2010 at 8:15 a.m. at his Newton, Kansas home.

He was born March 16, 1926 at Powhattan, KS.

Stanley was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Melvin; two sons David and Galen.

Stanley is survived by his wife, Carol of the home, two brothers, Larry, from Price, Utah and Keith from Hiawatha; three children; Duane of Topeka, KS, Darwin from Overland Park, KS, and Janice Smith from Hiawatha, three grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; two step-sons, Michael and Mark Loggan.

He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran and retired from Goodyear Tire in Topeka in 1996.

Services will be held on Thursday Nov. 11, 2010 at 1 p.m., at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, 124 S. 7th, in Hiawatha, Kansas. There will be family visitation at 6:30 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
