~0bit~Edith May Fay of Troy Mills died at her home Tuesday night on the eve of her seventy-seventh birthday. Born on September 19, 1879, south of Troy Mills, she was a lifelong resident of Linn County except for a few years when she lived in Hancock, Iowa, during her childhood. On January 15, 1900, she was married to John Fay at Walker. She was a member of the Troy Mills Methodist and a charter member of the WSCS. Surviving in addition to her husband are three sons, Gilbert, of Brentwood, Md., David of Conesville, and Morris, of Vinton; two daughters, Mrs. Ed Wright, Troy Mills, and Mrs. Forrest Martin, Independence; a sister, a half-sister, a half-brother, 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Troy Mills Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Troy Mills cemetery. Friends may call at the Sorensen Funeral Home here after noon Thursday.
