Henrietta, Texas – Glenna Bell Carlile, 89, of Weatherford, Okla., formerly of Henrietta, passed away Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010, in Weatherford, Okla.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010 at the Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Henrietta with Rev. Greg Fletcher of Henrietta officiating. Burial will be in the Hope Cemetery of Henrietta under the direction of Davis Funeral Home in Henrietta.
Mrs. Carlile was born Feb. 11, 1921 to William A. and Maylinda M. (Smith) Gannon. She married Leon Bell April 16, 1940 in Waurika, Okla. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Henrietta, a retired Sales Clerk having worked at A & P Grocery Store, Moore's Hardware and Something Special Floral Shop. She had also been very active in the Bucky Boyd VFW Auxiliary, member of the Clay County Chamber of Commerce, American Legion, and had worked for many years for the Clay County Pioneer Association.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husbands Leon Bell and J.W. Carlile, two sons Jerry and Larry Bell.
Survivors include daughter Nancy Hamilton and husband Butch of Weatherford, Okla.; son Robert Bell and wife Cindy of Aubrey, Tex.; daughter-in-law Linda Thomas of Weatherford, Okla.; eight grandchildren Laurie and husband Bryan Wood, Mark and wife Lesley Bell, Cindy and husband Patrick Bruce, Alesha and husband Oneal Jimenez, Caleb and wife Jessica Bell, Tucker and wife Amber Bell, Matt and wife Veronica Wilhite, Randall and wife Shyla Wilhite, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be at the Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
