"The body of Arthur Whitman, 90, who died Monday at Gulf View Nursing Home in Bay St. Louis, will be transferred from Ben O'Keefe Mortuary in Ocean Springs to Elmwood Funeral Chapel in Abilene, Tex., for services and burial Thursday. Mr. Whitman was a retired oil field engineer and a native of Salina, Kan. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Lean Whitman; two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Fox, Austin, Tex., and Mrs. Christine Mansolo of Dallas, Tex.; one son, James Shannon of Jacksonville, Fla.; one brother, George Whitman of Drumright, Okla., and two grandchildren. The family prefers memorials to First Baptist Church in Ocean Springs."
