The widow of Gen. William H. Irwin, of Louisville, is in the capital. The Board of Medical Examiners have agreed to report her application for pension favorably. Her husband was on Gen. Hancock's staff in the war, and led the most terrific charge at Antietam, the stroke that saved the Union army that day. Her pension. If passed, will be $30 per month.
