Garrett Wayne Drapeau, 19 year-old, Tahlequah resident and student at Northeastern State University passed from this life November 6, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born April 13, 1991 in Ada, Oklahoma to parents Ronald Eugene Frazier and Vanessa Lynette Drapeau. While attending Northeastern State University as a full time student he also worked at the United Keetoowah Band of Cherokee Indians Casino. He was also of the Catholic faith. Survivors include his mother and father, Vanessa Lynette Frazier and Ronald Eugene Frazier both of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; grandparents, Imogene and Kenneth W. Drapeau of Ada, Oklahoma, Virgie Frazier of Ada, Oklahoma; two brothers, Jeremy P. Drapeau and Lonnie Joe Drapeau both of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; two sisters, Maleah J. Drapeau-Frazier of Tahlequah, Oklahoma and Karrington D. Drapeau of Ada, Oklahoma; great-grand parents, Zane and Conceta Zephier of Marty, South Dakota; auntie, Kelly R. Drapeau of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and by a host of other family and dear friends. Garrett was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Annie and Joe Fixico, Robert and Jowina Reed and Joe Frazier, Henry and Rebecca Drapeau, Ellis Zephier and Blanche Drapeau. The body will be taken to the Mekusukey Gymnasium at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday and a wake service will be held Tuesday evening, November 9, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at the Mekusukey Mission Gymnasium. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at the Mekusukey Mission Gymnasium. Rev. Houston Tiger and Lorne Beck will officiate the service. Casket Bearers will be: Mike Lowe, Leo Tiger, Pvto Rogers, Joe Fixico, Dylan Fixico, Devan Fixico, Randall Lowe and Keith Bear. Honorary Bearers will be: Eugene Lowe, Leo Tiger Sr., Tim Rogers, Ashley Bear, Willie Stick, Matt Billy and Trampis Snell. Interment will follow at the Harjo Family Cemetery located just west of Mekusukey Mission located at Hwy. 59, Seminole. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
