Adaline L. Bradley, age 88, of Sun Prairie, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 1998 at St. Mary's Hospital Medical Center in Madison. Adaline, the daughter of Engelbert and Katherine (Starker) Schey, was born on January 31, 1910. She was a graduate of Sacred Hearts School Commercial Course in Sun Prairie. She was employed in various positions, including telephone operator in Sun Prairie. Adaline was married to Ernest W. Bradley on October 9, 1934 at Sacred Hearts Church. After marriage, she joined Ernest on the family farm in Sun Prairie Township. Adaline was a member of Sacred Hearts of Jesus & Mary Catholic Church in Sun Prairie. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest; her parents, Engelbert and Katherine; two sisters, Laura Betlech, and Eleanor Yelk; and five brothers, Justus Schey, Theodore Schey, Fred Schey, Tony Schey, and Reynold Schey. Adaline is also now joined in death by her remaining sister, Florence Olson. She is survived by her son, James (Charlotte) Bradley of Sun Prairie; five grandchildren, Jerry Bradley of Sun Prairie, Jeffery (Janell) Bradley of Wadena, IA, Jenifer (Andy) Czerkas of Middleton, Mark (Leah) Bradley of Sun Prairie, and Kay (Kevin) Inabnet of McFarland; eight great-grandchildren, Cheryl and Bridget of Middleton, Sarah, Ryan and Laura of Wadena, IA, Rachael and Michaela of Sun Prairie, and Emily of McFarland; and two sisters-in-law, Beatrice Bradley of Sun Prairie, and Alice (Vic) Walker of Sun Prairie. She is also survived by many nephews, nieces, and other relatives and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 13, 1998 at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Hearts of Jesus & Mary Catholic Church in Sun Prairie, with Father James Hinnen officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Hearts Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 5:30 p.m. until promptly 7:30 p.m. at Cress Funeral Home in Sun Prairie, where at 7:30 p.m. a Memorial Service for Adeline's sister, Florence Olson will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Endowment Fund or memorial of choice. WSJ 3/11/1998
