Mrs. Jerome L. Blaska, age 65, died Tuesday, March 3, 1981, of a heart attack at her home at Route 2, Sun Prairie. She was business manager of the family dairy, grain and tobacco farm in rural Sun Prairie and retired last year after eight years as secretary of the East Dane County local of the Farmers Union. Mrs. Blaska was married February 7, 1948, to Jerome L. Blaska, state assemblyman representing eastern Dane County from 1959 to 1967 and president of the Dane County Farmer Union. She was born September 21, 1915 at Bloomfield, IA to Charles and Grace Curl and had worked for the Cedar Rapids Gazette in Iowa and the Farm Bureau in Madison before her marriage. She was also publicity director for the Madison area district of AMPI (Associated Milk Producers Inc.) Women. Mrs. Blaska was a member of Sacred Hearts of Jesus & Mary Catholic Church in Sun Prairie and its St. Anne's Circle, the Catholic Order, of Foresters, and the V.F.W. Auxiliary. She is survived by her husband, Jerome; her sons, David of Cambridge, J. Michael of Sun Prairie, William of Cottage Grove, Richard of San Diego, CA; her daughters, Elizabeth Blaska of Madison, Jane Blaska of Milwaukee;, two grandchildren; and a brother, Charles of Iowa. Friends may call at the Tuschen Funeral Home in Sun Prairie after 4 p.m. Thursday where the V.F.W. Auxiliary will hold a prayer service at 7 p.m. and St. Anne's Circle will recite the rosary at 7:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Father Fasen at Sacred Hearts Church in Sun Prairie at 10:30 a.m. Friday morning. Burial will be at Sacred Hearts cemetery. Lunch at the church will follow. WSJ 3/5/1981
