Oscar Bower Hutchinson passed away on January 16, 1973 after a five-year illness. He was born in Butler November 8, 1893 to Alexander Campbell Hutchinson and Loretta Alice Zillifro. He was the oldest of five children: Roscoe C, Victor H, Cametta Marie, and Rose.
From 1924 to 1959, Oscar was employed at the hot mill department of Gary Ellwood Works of U.S. Steel. He attended First Christian Church. Mr. Hutchinson was the first paid fireman in Ellwood City.
Oscar and his wife, Ida Mae Mallory, had four children: William L, Alice Lindsay, Virginia, and Mary.
