Mrs. Mary Ellen Robinson, age 83, of Sturgeon, died at the Community Memorial Hospital in Moberly, Sunday, February 24. Mrs. Robinson, the daughter of the late Billie and Betty Gibson Robinson was born in Boone County, Missouri, February 18, 1891. She was married to James Elmer Robinson, March 8, 1908, who preceded her in death December 1965.
Mrs. Robinson is survived by one son William Earl Robinson, Sturgeon; one brother, Willie Robinson, Sturgeon; three grandchildren, Mrs. Earlene Watkins, New London, William A. Robinson, Moberly, James Clyde Robinson, Sturgeon and eight great-grandchildren. Two sons, one daughter, and two brothers preceded her in death. Mrs. Robinson was a lifetime resident of Sturgeon and a member of the Sturgeon Baptist Church. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, February 26, at the Meador and Son Funeral Chapel in Sturgeon wit the Rev. James Jones of Sturgeon officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Horeb Cemetery, Sturgeon. From her Memorial Card, Pallbearers were Leon Barnes, Harry Bowne, Clyde Current, Harold Phillippe, Truman Ritchie, and Mike Spelman.
