Wife of William Thomas Abbott

Annie Estelle White Ward, 72, of 1408 Jackson street, South Norfolk, died suddenly yesterday at 9:30 a.m. A native of Nansemond County, she had resided in South Norfolk for 54 years.
She was a member of Chesapeake Avenue Methodist Church, South Norfolk.
She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Sarah White and wife of the late Charles J. Ward. She is survived by five sons, William E. Abbott, of Jacksonville, Fla.; Walter B., Shelton R. and J. Alfred Abbott, all of South Norfolk, and Cecil C. Abbott, of Chesapeake Beach; one sister, Mrs. Cleveland Cofield, of Elizabeth City; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The body was removed to the Sykes Funeral Home pending funeral arrangements.
