In 1861 he was married to Mrs. Margaret Smith and with her moved to this county in 1880 and has since resided here. Since the death of his wife about 9 years ago he has made his home with his daughter. His daughters, Mrs. Kraft, Mrs. J.F. Wildman of Leavenworth KS, Mrs. Gotlieb Young of Kimball NE, and Mrs. Maggie Frost of Correctionville IA survive him.
The deceased was a veteran of the civil war.
Rev. M.D. Bush of the Methodist Episcopal Church conducted the funeral and interment was in Mt. Hope cemetery.
