She was born April 20, 1857, in Constableville. She was a direct descendent of Thomas Thompson who was a drummer boy in the Revolutionary War army. Her entire life was spent here. She taught school for a number of years in this section. On Sept. 10, 1902, she was married to Albert B. Capron with the Rev. Sanger Dewey officiating. They made their home in James St., here where she lived for 45 years. Mr. Capron died in 1916.
Surviving are a sister, Miss Alice Wood, who lived with her; one brother, Charles Wood, Elmira; two nieces, Mrs. Harold Hartness and Mrs. Eldred Milburn, Elmira; one step daughter, Mrs. Jennie Markham, Utica; one son, Ralph Capron, Whitesboro, five grandsons, Dr. Earl S. Markham, Constableville; Dr. Miles Markham, Binghamton; Burt Markham, Utica; Loran Capron, Whitesboro, and Keith Capron, Chicago; one granddaughter, Miss Pearl Capron, Whitesboro. The funeral will be at 2 p. m. tomorrow from the home with the Rev. Joseph B. Elkin officiating. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery here."
