Mrs. Stamey loved flowers and was a professional florist. She was married to Nelson W. Stamey. They had just celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on January 13th. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Stamey was not in good health; she had ungone a heart operation three years previously and had been seriously ill for two days before her death.
Surviving her were her husband; sons Robert L. Stamey and John Stamey; and daughters Mrs. R.B. Butt JR; Mrs. J. Arthur Williams; Mrs. Samuel LaPresti; Mrs. Clyde E. Small, Mrs. William A. Chambers, and Mrs. Notrma Shook. Also surviving was sister Mrs. charles Pomeroy, nineteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
The body was taken to the residence for visitation.
