MILDRED L. LONG
Mildred Louise Long was born in Swan, Iowa on May 18, 1913, and passed away Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2007 at the Chariton Nursing and Rehab Center.
Mildred was the daughter of Charles and Clara Welshhons. She was united in marriage to Paul Guy Long on Feb. 27, 1930.
She was a member of the Medford Church in New Virginia.
She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend. She truly made it a better world and will be missed greatly by all who knew her.
Mildred is survived by daughters, Berniece Collins, Pleasantville and Paula Leinen, Norwalk; sister, Patty Collins, Knoxville; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; son, James Long; and daughter, Shirley Weinman.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 16 at the Goshen Cemetery near Lucas. Pallbearers were her grandchildren.
