The Seventh-day Baptist Register", Vol 4, No 23, p 91, Aug. 2, 1843.

In Scott, on the 25th inst, of chronic disease, Mr. Samuel Barber, in the 60th year of his age.

Brother Barber has been for several years a member of the Seventh-day Baptist Church in Scott, and, although for a few years past he has not been privileged with Sabbath worship in the house of God, on the account of ill health, yet we have reason to believe that he has left the Church Militant and joined the Church Triumphant, where his privileges will not be eclipsed by the infirmities incident to human life, but to enjoy the rest that remains for the people of God, and a Sabbath that will never end.
