He was survived by his wife, Christine Doner Bassler, one son, Tod Bassler, Indianapolis, three daughters, Cary Haber of Kalamazoo, MI, Kate Gress, Noblesville, Anne Goldsmith, Carmel, his father, Raymond Oswald Bassler, Naples, Fla. and five grandchildren.
