Funeral services for Lex Birdwell, 59, 334 Short St., Cookeville, were held last Monday, from the chapel of
Dyer Funeral Home. Bro. Arkley Billingsley and Bro. Johnny Fox were the officiating ministers. Burial was in Crest Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. Birdwell died, Aug. 7, 1971, at the Jackson County Hospital, after an extended illness. He was a produce truck driver and was born in Jackson County.
He is survived by his wife Mrs. Willie Birdwell of Cookeville; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Young of Inkster,
MI; Mrs. Shirley Stewart of Bloomington Springs, one son, Ernest Lee Birdwell, Cookeville; one brother, Donald Birdwell of Bloomington Springs; two sisters, Mrs. Lassie Johnson of Gainesboro; Mrs. Maude Shoemake of Chestnut Mound; and four grandchildren.
