Ruth Cooper Norris, 80, of the 600 block of Redgate Ave., a retired church secretary, died Aug. 5, 1992, in her home.
Miss Norris was born in Portsmouth. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Norfolk and and Daughters of the American Revolution. She had retired from First Lutheran Church of Norfolk after 35 years and had attended Mary Washington College.
She is survived by several cousins, including Jane Denman of Virginia Beach.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday in First Presbyterian Church of Norfolk by the Rev. J. Shepherd Russell. Burial will be private in Magnolia Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Norfolk. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, is handling arrangements.
