Mr. Writtenhouse, who was born in Muncie, was a lifelong Muncie area resident. He was an Army veteran and a retired truck driver for Attlin Construction. He was a member of Avondale Sympathy Club and an active citizens band radio operator known as Sign Man.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Writtenhouse; three daughters, Debra K. Parker, Dani L. Thornburgh, and Pamela J. Enos (husband-Michael); a sister, Donna J. Lothridge; and five grandchildren.
Two brothers and a sister are deceased.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Parson Mortuary. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory. Calling will be 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. at the mortuary.
