Kenneth R. Writtenhouse, 54, 1823 E. 23rd St., died Saturday in Ball Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness.
A native of Muncie, he was employed at Delco-Battery before retiring in May 1987. Mr. Writtenhouse attended Westside Baptist Church, was a member of Delco-Battery Sympathy Club, and was in the Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Ellen Lorene; three sosn, Kenneth (Bo) Writtenhouse Jr., Tipton, Keith Writtenhouse, stationed in Cuba with the Navy, and Kerry Writtenhouse, Muncie; four stepsons, Stan Waters, Dan Waters, and Wendell Waters, all of Muncie, and Gary Waters, Arlington, Texas; a daughter, Kelly Writtenhouse, Muncie; two stepdaughters, Regina Golliher, Cherry Point, N.C., and Lisa Waters, Muncie; a brother, Dannie (Pete) Writtenhouse, Muncie; a sister, Donna Murphy, Albany; 19 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Parson Mortuary-Adams Chapel with Rev. Simon Waters officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory, north of Muncie. Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the mortuary.
