Earl Eckardt, 73, 1029 E. Somo Ave., Tomahawk, died Wednesday, Dec. 15, 1999 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Tomahawk. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and was recalled to active duty during the Korean War. He taught high school band and elementary music in the Tomahawk School District for over 30 years, retiring in 1988.
Survivors include his wife, Donitza "Donnie" (Verich) Eckardt, Tomahawk; one daughter, Beth (Michael) Young-Lockman, Orlando, Fla.; and two grandsons. Services will be at 11 am Monday at the Congregational Church, Tomahawk. Visitation will be from 4 pm Sunday with a Veteran's memorial service at 7:30 pm Sunday followed by Masonic services at Krueger and Sons Funeral Home, Tomahawk.
