CONNEAUT — Louise M. Bartone, age 84, of Conneaut, died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2010, at University Hospitals of Cleveland with her family at her side.

Louise was born Feb. 23, 1926, in Conneaut, the daughter of Anthony and Rose (LiAlia) Narducci. She was a 1944 graduate of Conneaut High School and went on to attend the Cleveland Conservatory for music and singing.

She returned to Conneaut, where she met and married her husband, Anthony N. (Flan) Bartone on Nov. 8, 1947. Louise worked at the former Astatic Corp. and also at Eaton's Florists. She also worked for a short time as a secretary at the former Conneaut Jr. High School and also as a hostess at the Red Barn Restaurant.

Louise was a member of St. Mary / St. Frances Cabrini Parish and was a very active member of the church where she sang for many weddings and funerals. She also was a member of the McDowell Club, McDowell Ensemble, the Cara Mia Club, Tops Club for over 30 years, St. Mary Church Choir, Catholic Daughters of America and the Altar and Rosary Society.

Louise performed in many musical plays, including the lead role as "Maria" in the production of the Sound of Music and in the King and I as "Anna", and major parts in several other productions. Louise loved to sing and play bingo. She especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Mary Bartone, Florence Pignotti, Alvera Juliano, Sylvia Narducci; and a brother, Paul Narducci.

Louise is survived by her husband, Anthony N. (Flan) Bartone; daughters, Sharon R. Palko of Columbus, Ohio, Mary T. and Nick Colby of Conneaut and Sandra A. and Scott Spees of Conneaut; sons, Marty A. and Diana Bartone of Geneva and Phil M. Bartone of Eastlake, Ohio; 13 grandchildren, Adam Palko, Aaron Palko, Michelle Karosy, AJ Colby, Pete and Carrie Colby, Nicholas Colby, Nichole Colby, Holly Spees, Jacob Spees, Lillian Spees, Shannon Bartone, Dean Bartone and Brian Bartone; and two great-grandchildren, Hope Colby and Dominick Colby.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 6th, at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 744 Mill St., Conneaut, with Father John Summers officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Route 20, Conneaut.

Calling Hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., TODAY, Friday, Nov. 5th, at RAISIAN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 581 Harbor St., Conneaut.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary / St. Frances Cabrini Parish. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
