Private committal services will be held at a later date in the Yankee Point Cemetery, rural North English. A general memorial fund has been established.
Diane Marie Clabaugh was born April 11, 1947, in Emmetsburg, the daughter of Harry and Mildred Wilberg Bonnicksen. She graduated from Armstrong High School in 1965. She attended Estherville Junior College and graduated from the first nursing class in 1966.
She married Vic Clabaugh March 9, 1968, in the Little Brown Church, Nashua. They lived a short time in Armstrong before moving to the Parnell area in 1971.
She worked 31 years as a licensed practical nurse at the English Valley Care Center, North English.
She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Williamsburg. She loved being with her grandchildren, watching the Iowa Hawkeyes, going to car shows, her flower gardens, watching NASCAR on TV and her computer games.
Clabaugh is survived by her husband; two sons and their wives, Cory and Anne Clabaugh, North English, and Chad and Angie Clabaugh, Williamsburg; six grandchildren, Cody and Miranda, Samantha, Kathryn, Payton and Wyatt; one sister and her husband, Carol and Steve Corderman, Armstrong, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
