Carlisle Township died Friday at
the Elyria United Methodist Village.
Born in Budapest, Hungary, she
moved to the Elyria area in 1925.
For many years, she worked at
the Milford Rivet Co. in Elyria
before retiring in 1972.
She was a member of Magyar
United Church of Christ in Elyria,
where she spent more than 30
years as a church volunteer, cooking
and serving at the annual
chicken paprikas dinners.
Mrs. Soboslai also was a member
of the Women's Guild at the
church.
She enjoyed gardening and baking
Hungarian pastries.
Survivors include a son-in-law,
Floyd Baum of Grafton; granddaughters
Denise Minney of
Columbia Station and Suzanne
Milewski of Grafton; and a sister
in Hungary.
She was preceded in death by
her husband, Mike, in 1974, and a
daughter, Clara Baum, in 1996.
Friends may call from 10 a.m.
until the time of services at
11 a.m. Monday at
the Bauer-Laubenthal Funeral
Home, at Chestnut Ridge Road
and State Route 57 in Elyria.
The Rev. William Feldt will officiate.
Burial will be in Butternut
