Born Jan. 25, 1967, in Logansport, he was the son of Frank J. and Mary McDowell Whitfield.
A 1986 graduate of Delphi Community High School, Whitfield managed Whitty's Clean-N-Shine in Camden. He attended Camden First Baptist Church.
Surviving are his parents of Camden; one sister, Mary Stilson of Lafayette; two brothers, John Whitfield of Rt. 1, Bringhurst, and Frank Whitfield of Camden; one half brother, Gene Whitfield of O'Fallen, Mo.; and two nieces and two nephews.
Cree Funeral Home, Camden, was in charge of arrangements.
