Hall of Fame Major League Baseball Player. He played Major League baseball for nineteen seasons (1899 to 1917) as an outfielder for the Cincinnati Reds and Detroit Tigers. Born in Wahoo, Nebraska, he was dubbed Wahoo, making his debut as an outfielder for the Cincinnati Reds in 1899. He set the Major League record for triples in a career with 309, was the RBI leader three times, had 367 stolen bases and holds the single season record for most inside-the-park home runs, with 12 in 1901. He ended his career with 2,964 Hits, 1,392 Runs scored, 97 Home Runs, 1,525 Runs Batted In, and a .309 career Batting Average. He was elected into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1957.
