In 1979, she began a lengthy association with Albert Brooks, beginning with the motion picture "Real Life" (1979), also including "Modern Romance" (1981), "Lost in America" (1985), "The Scout" (1994), "Mother" (1996) and "The Muse" (1999). She died from esophageal cancer.
