Marvel was adopted by Charles & Genova Law Boos. They resided in Williams County, Ohio. This piece of information came from my father, Theodore T. Law who knew Marvel and was familiar with the family. Genova Law was his aunt and she resided in Oakland, California until her death and was listed in 1930 Census with Charles & Marvel Taff's family.
In the 1920 Census Marvel is listed as Marvel Law, having
dropped the Boos name probably due to the divorce of her adoptive parents, Charles & Genova. Notice that her adoptive mother also dropped the Boos name. Genova kept her maiden name for the rest of her life.
