Amy L. French, 73, of Pellston, died June 14, 1985, at Little Traverse Division, Northern Michigan Hospital, Petoskey.
Funeral was today, at New Life Pentecostal Church in Alanson. The Rev. Larry Skiles officiated and burial was in McKinley Township Cemetery, Pellston.
The former Amy L. Palmer was born Aug. 16, 1911, in Center Township. She attended Center Township School and had worked in the Flint and Detroit area for several years. On July 15, 1947, she married Earl French in Flint. The couple made their home there for several years before moving to the Pellston area in the 1950's. He preceded her in death in November 1983. Mrs. French had worked at McCrory's Department Store in Petoskey for eight years, retiring in 1973. She was very active in the new life Pentecostal Church where she edited the church newsletter and taught Sunday school.
Mrs. French is survived by one brother, Joseph Palmer of Pellston; one sister, Mrs. Ernest (Annabelle) Ruffe of Petoskey, one uncle, Percy Butler of Petoskey, and two aunts; Ethel Butler and Laura Parkey, both of Petoskey; several nieces and nephews.
