Services for Clinton S. Badgwell, 77, will be at 3 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Eddie Allsup, pastor, and Dr. Edward Hart, Pastor of First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Seymour Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Seymour Memorial Funeral Home.
Badgwell died Tuesday at a hospital here.
He was born March 27, 1910 in Graham, Texas. He moved to Seymour in 1915. He and Pauline Allen were married Nov. 28, 1931 in Frederick, Okla.
He had owned and operated Badgwell Exxon service station for about 20 years before retiring in 1977.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He was a member of Seymour Masonic Lodge No. 604, AF&AM, Maskat Temple and Scottish Rite. He was a member of the Vernon, Texas, Chapter No. 424 of the Order of the Eastern Star. He was a former Seymour City Council Member and served on the Seymour Volunteer Fire Department for a number of years.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, John of Georgetown, Texas, and Don of Anderson Air Force Base, Guam; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family suggest memorial be made to the American Heart Association or other charitable organizations.
