James Montague Underwood, 35, who was accidentally drowned in White Water Falls, near Endicott Saturday afternoon, while seining for minnows, was buried Sunday afternoon. Interment followed in Boyd Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lizzie Jones Underwood.
Underwood along with Oakley Thomas and Casey Jones, were at the falls seining when suddenly Underwood slipped and went down. Jones, who was on the bank, called to Thomas to save his friend, but Thomas found he could not swim with Underwood against the current. Jones was able to pull Thomas from the water, thus preventing a double drowning.
