Jasper who went by "Judge" Stanley was the 11th of 14 children born to Thomas and Rachel Haskins Stanley on March 17, 1853 in Whiteside County, Illinois. Jasper married Martha Ellen Burge on Oct. 15, 1883 in Ainsworth, Nebraska. Four sons (Clark, John, Fred and Bryan) and Two daughters (Clara Kammer and Emma Trenhaile) were born to this union. Jasper brought his family to Rupert, Idaho in 1913.
