Dr. Colby lived on the corner of what is called Ives Settlement Road today. In the early 1800's it was known as Knapp Road of Knappsville. Dr. Knapp had a large circuit in the town and is remembered in our history as also being one of our early settlers. (Taken from an article written by Tom Gray - Guilford Town Historian)
