Robert and Eve Walton died at their home in Augusta, Georgia, after a long and happy married life of 55 years. They were honored and respected by all the community, Robert Walton having been in his early days Judge of Court of Ordinary for Richmond County and afterwards a banker for forty years. He was a gentleman in every sense of the word, pure in Heart and courteous in manner (from the Genealogical record of the Walton Family)
