MERIDEN - Francis G. Marshall, 67, husband of Kathy J. (Ludecke) Marshall, died on Wednesday, July 21, 2010. Frank had been fighting a long time lung condition.

Born in New Haven, on April 24, 1943, he was the son of the late George Francis and Eleanor (Antanaitis) Marshall. He moved to Meriden with his family in 1973 and was a parishioner of St. Laurent Church.

Besides his wife, he leaves three sons, Kenneth and Lisa Marshall, of Terryville, Kevin and Shannon Marshall, of Wallingford, and Keith Marshall, of Meriden. He is also survived by three granddaughters, one grandson and three stepchildren, Wendy and Shelly Tack, of Southington and Wayne Tack, Jr., of Meriden; eight step-grandchildren; one sister, Adele Dods, of Florida; and one brother, Alfred Morcus, of Kasota, Minn.; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Marcus; and two sisters, Doloris Flood and Frances Cahill.

Francis was a graduate of the University of New Haven, class of 1976 and a veteran serving in the U.S. Navy Reserve. Francis was very active in the Masons, as past master in 1995 and 1996 of Unity Lodge 148 of New Britain, and associate marshall of District 5B in 2001 and 2002, a member of the Scottish and York Rite Bodies. An active clown with the Sphinx Center "Funsters" as past chief/president, "Feffy" as he was known is a graduate of Northwest Clown Institute and enjoyed clowning the most.
Frank also volunteered at Masonicare helping to refurbish the 28 year old model railroad (his most enjoyable hobby) with a group of friends and Masonic brothers when he was able.

The funeral will be held on Monday, July 26 at 9:15 a.m., from the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden and at 10 a.m., at St. Laurent Church for a Mass of Christian burial. Burial with military honors will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Sunday, July 25, from 4 to 8 p.m. A Masonic service will be held at 7 p.m. Donations in his memory may be made to The Shriners Hospital Shriners International Headquarters, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607. www.jferryfh.com
