Mrs. Shaw Laid Away

All that was mortal of Mrs. R. A. Shaw, of Avis, was tenderly and beautifully laid away on Thursday afternoon in the Jersey Shore Cemetery. Many admiring friends paid tribute to this noble woman. To all who were fortunate enough to know her, her life was a continual benediction. She was a great sufferer for many weeks at a time, but such was her trust in the God of all exigencies that these seemed to add to the beauty of her life. To her, approaching death was no dark valley, but a blessed going home. Nor did she think of the presence of the Lord as some far away dream, something she might only hope for. She came to her reward in a "good age", she passed from pain to paradise and she has left a memory most fragrant and has given the hope of glory a new meaning to all who knew her. She left three devoted daughters, Mrs. M. B. Rich, of Woolrich; Miss Anna Shaw, at home; and Mrs. Charles Schroeder, of Lock Haven.
