Cleopha A. "Coty" Baltzer, age 81, died on Friday, January 7, 2000 at Meriter Hospital.

She was born in Sun Prairie, on June 19, 1918, the daughter of Edward and Johanna (Scheurell) Klubertanz. She was united in marriage to John Baltzer on November 29, 1938. She was employed as a sales associate at Sears for 20 years. Cleopha was a member of Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church, St, Ann's Society, and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include her five children, John (Bernadetle) of Sun Prairie, Jean (William) Brindley of Oregon, Sandra Harris of Blue Springs, MO, Darcy Little of Marshall, and Suzanne (Aaron) Trammer of Mahopac, NY; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Roderick and Oscar Klubertanz; and a sister, Juletta Brandenstein.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 11, 2000 at Sacred Hearts Of Jesus & Mary Catholic Church, 227 Columbus St. in Sun Prairie with Father Duane Moellenberndt presiding. Burial will be held at Sacred Hearts Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Monday, January 10, 2000 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus St. in Sun Prairie, where a rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m. The family suggests that memorials may be made to Sacred Hearts Endowment Fund.
