Mark Perkins, 36, of Haltom City, formerly of Sulphur Springs, was born September 22, 1957, in Sulphur Springs. He was the son of Robert Stevens and Joanne Close Perkins.

He died Tuesday, June 7, at his residence in Haltom City, of kidney failure, following a lengthy illness.

Survivors include his parents, of Haltom City; one grandmother Laudelle Close of Ridgeway; and one great-grandmother, Gertrude Hood of Sulphur Springs.

He was preceded in death by grandparents Elmer Close and Max and Thelma Perkins.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 9, in Ridgeway Cemetery with the Rev. Bob Newsome officiating.
